Get Involved
Volunteering
The NFRSA is a registered charity, with all its proceeds going where it’s needed most – helping take care of our retired service animals.
Whether a retired police horse, police dog, fire dog, border force dog, or prison dog, they have spent their working lives dedicating themselves to protecting us and our loved ones – it is now our turn to take care of them.
If you feel you have the time and skills to help, we are always looking for volunteers.
It might be bookkeeping, administration skills, fundraising or marketing, running events, or simply spreading the word in your community – whatever you’d like to do, we’d love to hear from you.

GET INVOLVED
Leave a Gift in Your Will
Writing a will is an incredibly personal and sometimes difficult thing to do, and we completely understand that your family and loved ones will be your priority when making decisions regarding your estate.
But it may also be important to you to leave a legacy behind to the organisations that mean the most to you, and we would be incredibly honoured if you may consider the NFRSA.
By leaving a gift, no matter how small, you will ensure a safe, happy, and healthy retirement for these exceptional dogs and horses, who have given their working lives to keeping our families safe. Not just now, but for future generations too.
If you have a specific request, you will be able to tell us exactly what you would like your incredible gift to be spent on. You may prefer to help animals in your county, or perhaps opt to choose a specific service, police, fire, border force, or prison animals – but whatever your wishes, we will do everything to make that happen.

The NFRSA relies on your generosity and support to help our retired service animals.
By making a donation, you could be helping a retired police dog with ongoing medication, a retired police horse needing emergency treatment, a retired fire dog receiving life-saving surgery, or a retired prison or border force dog getting much-needed dental treatment.
Every single heroic animal, retired from working life, but still needing our care, could benefit from your kindness and concern.
We would be deeply grateful for any gift to aid us in our work.
