Each year Murphy’s Army chooses charitable organisations to benefit from the proceeds of their Purple Poppy Campaign.

“We invite nominations from our supporters and then begin the selection process.

Various criteria need to be met, and particularly the organisation must help service animals to whom our campaign pays tribute.

When the NFRSA was brought to our attention we had the honour of speaking to Lady Bathurst and were immediately impressed. It very quickly became clear that her passion, enthusiasm, and determination to help former service animals in their well-deserved retirement precisely mirrored ours.

Due diligence completed, and the decision was very happily made.

It is our honour and our pleasure to support the NFRSA in this, their inaugural year.

We know they will go on to make a lasting difference, and although the benefit from Murphy’s Army Purple Poppy Campaign may only be for the year, we hope our partnership will be a lasting one too.”

3SFire Community Interest Company has a longstanding interest in animal welfare particularly through its specialised expertise in animal rescue training which has been provided to a wide range of organisations across the UK.

Wholly owned by Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Authority, 3SFire CIC uses surplus earnings to support community initiatives that complement the statutory activities of the fire service. We already sponsor community awareness-building efforts and additional equipment for our fire service’s arson dog team. Therefore, it was a natural extension to support the NFRSA with their fabulous work for retired service animals across the country. All of these wonderful animals have given so much to their communities throughout their working lives so it is rewarding to contribute towards the NFRSA’s efforts to improve their quality of life during their well-earned retirement.
